Svens Computer Trouble

So for those of you who care. The reason I have not been on or keeping up with advancments to the server is because my main computer has been having trouble starting/running... Well today took the cake

I tried to start my computer and I look down at it and think to myself

"I do not have any orange lights in my computer"Much to my suprise my computer was on fire!!!! I quickly removed my side pannel (glad I do not screw it down) and the fire goes out before I have a chance to identify its location (or get a picture, thanks kith for caring so much about my PC)

I still cannot find any fire damage in my PC but and it still doesn't run properly, no suprise there of course.

Its running now. It must have been a dust fire. I still cannot use it that often because of how dificult it acts but there doesn't seem to be any fire damage... yet

How often do you clean the inner workings?

Reason I ask is because with my old PC, I later found out a fire started when a bit of clumped up lint caught fire.

And also what are your PC's symptom's exactly, I may be able to help

whats the best way to clean out the inside case? do you guys use compressed air or what, i think i should clean out my case so this doesnt happen to me too.

I used compressed air to clean it out when it first had symptoms

Symptoms:
When I first try to start the computer it will get to a random point while booting and just lock up. This can happen durring the cmos booting, before or after logging into windows
It typicaly takes me a few tries to get the computer started, the only way to turn it off after it locks up is to hold the power button untill it kills the power.
Usualy a few of the tries to get it started will not even turn the monitor on, just fans
This is no software error because it will happen sometimes durring or before the ram check and sometimes durring the hard device checks and also durring the sata check.
This is either a RAM Prossessor or Mother Board issue, Either way I have to suffer through it untill I can aford a new one as this one is to old to even attempt to repair.

I have a few other machines laying around and one is said to be beter then mine but it needs DDR ram and I do not own any currently

Well the main problem accours before the computer ever reads the devices attached to it.

dude i am havin a problem like yours a little bit except mine won't start at all...my stupid power suplie is fryed i think Rolling Eyes

Oh man... I noticed you were gone but I assumed you were just busy with other things during the summer man. But that really sucks. Good thing you can keep the server up at least for everyone's sake right now. I hope it was just a dust fire that didn't cause any damage. Mine was smoking recently from a Power Supply smoking issue... Anyway I'm glad it's not worse and since it's still running that's the best sign. Good luck Sven.

I can get it running right now but it seems like CSS just doesn't want to work properly. I joined Dust and got lag killed durring the first round.
